This house, not equipped for kids alright? I eat cereal out of wine glasses.

A quick post before my weekly Tuesday night TV which includes New Girl and Mindy Project (my title quote being taken from the Mindy Project).  Love these two shows!

Spring started last Wednesday and somehow it's still freezing.  These photos were taken on Saturday by my boyfriend, while I was shivering.  The second he was done, I ran into his car and cranked up the heat.  I'm not sure what's going on with Mother Nature right now, but she needs to get her act together!

I've been religiously wearing my Celine sunglasses since they fit so well and go with absolutely everything, but this weekend I decided to switch it up and take my Karen Walker Deep Freeze sunglasses out for a spin.  Unfortunately (and you can't tell from these photos) in the first 5 minutes of wearing them, I realized how annoying it is when your sunglasses slide down every two seconds and don't stay on your face.  Devastating because this is the only pair of tortoise sunglasses that I've found so far that have fit my big fat head, but I'll be on the hunt for some new ones, any suggestions are welcome!

I've listed them on eBay here, hopefully I find them a nice home where they can get used this spring and summer!

I'm not saying you're a mess but I'm not saying you're not.

I usually travel on an airplane maybe once a year.  This year, I've already been on a plane three times, with more to come.  Thus, I thought I'd do a post on airport fashion.  I always feel silly for the amount of time I mull over what I'm going to wear on the plane, but nowadays, I generally like to look presentable and not just wear sweatpants and hoodie and call it a day.  Decently comfortable shoes are a good idea, something easily removable for security or in case you have to run through the airport for a connecting flight.  For bottoms, I opt for leggings (though in the below photos, I wore some legging like jeans).  They are super comfortable for the already uncomfortable cramped flight you're going to be on (unless you're flying first class, in which case, I have no idea what that is like but I imagine I would feel comfortable in anything).  On top, I tend to wear layers because of the unpredictable whether of the airport, the airplane, the state you're going to.. etc.  If you have layers, you can always take them off if you get hot and adjust your own temperature since you can't change the atmosphere around you.

These photos are the remaining ones from my trip to South Carolina in January.

"Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
No. A summer’s day is not a bitch."

Remaining random photos from the January wedding.  I did my nails in Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream which is just a gorgeous color for the spring and summer.  Don't know what possessed me to wear it in the middle of winter.. it's a sea foamy green with specks of blue and gold glitter in it.

We don't want to be mean, we just don't want you to be yourself...in any way.

I'm leaving on Friday to go to another wedding in Birmingham, Alabama so I thought it'd be appropriate to post the outfit from the wedding I went to in January.  Time is flying, and I can't believe it's already March!

A lot more thought went into buying my boyfriend's suit than my dress, we ended up getting him the Ludlow suit from J.Crew and with a little tailoring, it fits pretty damn well.  As the meme goes, "A well tailored suit is to women what lingerie is to men."

I've been slowly hoarding dresses on sale because I'm at the age of attending weddings and I don't feel like having to spend a fortune on each one to wear something new.  This little number was purchased on sale at Topshop.  It was getting dark when this photograph was taken so it was hard to capture the true color of the dress, which was an iridescent lavender.. kind of holiday-ish, and perfect for a winter wedding.  Luckily the wedding was in South Carolina so I wasn't freezing in mid January.  The tuxedo-esque blazer is from Zara that I was dying to get and managed to wait it out until it went on sale.  The shoes I purchased because of seeing them on my co-worker and the shape immediately reminded me of a much more affordable YSL pump.  Lastly, my clutch is Alexander Wang (surprise surprise).  A black clutch was something my wardrobe was lacking. With all these occasions to dress up, I need something to hold a lip stain and cell phone to get me through the night!

What is the big deal? Let's just suck it up and French a little.

I never thought I'd find the Celine Large Audrey sunglasses in stores in the US.  I had visited large department stores multiple times in hopes of being able to try them on to see if they fit my extra large head as well as I had dreamed about.  Around Christmas, I happened to walk into Solstice to return something for my boyfriend to check out the Prada dupes that I was going to give in and buy when I saw another shopper with a pair of sunglasses on.  I complimented the leopard frames she had on and asked who they were by because the print reminded me of Karen Walkers.  She replied, Celine.. though I'm not sure what I heard because I was like "Excuse me??"  She repeated Celine and my jaw dropped and I asked where they were. They were right behind me (if it was a snake it woulda bit me).. but since I was so focused on looking for the Prada sunglasses I completely missed them.  They had one pair of black ones, I tried them on and the sales associated said they had a promotion.. and it was over, I purchased them right away.  Love these damn things...
